List ammunition and firearm products on the Ammoseek comparison shopping platform.

## Setting Up

1. Navigate to **Plugins > Marketplace**
2. Find **Ammoseek** and click **Activate**
3. Click **Configure** and copy the feed URL shown in the modal
4. Submit to Ammoseek's [Certified Retailer Program](https://ammoseek.com/acr/)

Your feed is served at `/ammoseek.xml` on your storefront domain.

## Eligible Products

Unlike the other feeds, Ammoseek only accepts specific product types. Only products of these types are included:

- Ammunition (any ammunition subtype)
- Firearms — handguns, pistols, revolvers, rifles, shotguns and long guns
- Magazines — including handgun, rifle and shotgun magazines
- Reloading components — bullets and bullet casting, brass, primers and percussion caps, powder

Anything outside those types is skipped, even if it is active and in stock.

## Required Specifications

Eligible products must also carry the specifications for their type. A product missing any of them is held back rather than listed incomplete — this is the most common reason an in-stock ammunition product never appears on Ammoseek.

| Product type | Required specifications |
|--------------|-------------------------|
| Ammunition | Caliber/gauge, number of rounds, manufacturer, and grain weight. Shotshells are exempt from grain |
| Firearms | Caliber, manufacturer, action type, barrel length |
| Magazines | Caliber, capacity, manufacturer |
| Reloading bullets | Caliber, grain, manufacturer |
| Reloading brass | Caliber, manufacturer |
| Primers | Manufacturer, primer type |
| Powder | Manufacturer, powder weight |

Specification names are matched loosely, so common alternatives work: `rounds`, `round count`, `rounds per box` and `quantity` all satisfy number of rounds, `brand` or `mfg` satisfies manufacturer, and `gauge` satisfies caliber.

Ammunition carries one extra rule: the caliber must be specific enough to list against. A bare bore designation such as `30 Caliber`, or a bare one- or two-digit number such as `.22`, is rejected as ambiguous — use `.22 LR`, `.223 Remington`, `12 Gauge` and the like.

## Troubleshooting

### Products Missing from Feed

Work through these in order — the first two are specific to Ammoseek:

1. Confirm the product's type is on the eligible list above
2. Confirm it carries every specification its type requires
3. Confirm it is active, in stock, and not soft-deleted

The plugin's **Configure** modal breaks your catalog down by reason — incompatible type, missing specifications, unpublished, out of stock, and eligible — and links straight to the matching products, which is usually faster than checking products one at a time. On an individual product's page, the feed requirements panel names the exact specifications that product is still missing.

### Feed Not Updating

Feeds are cached for 5 minutes. Wait for the cache to expire, then re-check the conditions above.

### Feed URL Not Available

Ensure the Ammoseek plugin is still active — the URL 404s when it is not — and that you have an active domain configured in **Settings > Domains**.
