# MGE Wholesale

# MGE Wholesale Integration

Connect your FirearmCart store with MGE Wholesale to import their catalog and submit stock orders that ship **to your store**. MGE does not dropship — you ship the second leg to the customer.
---

## Features

| Feature | Description |
|---------|-------------|
| **Product import** | Import products from the MGE catalog |
| **Inventory sync** | Nightly full catalog plus a price/quantity refresh |
| **Warehouse stock orders** | Order requests upload to MGE and ship to your store |
| **Order acknowledgement** | MGE's ticket number is recorded, or the fulfillment errors with their reason |

---

## Prerequisites

Before connecting, you need:

- Active MGE dealer account
- FTP username and password
- Your MGE dealer number and dealer name
- Your store address filled in under **Settings → General** (MGE ships here, not to your customer)
- Your own FFL details (required before you can order firearms from MGE)

---

## Setting Up

1. Navigate to **Plugins > Marketplace**
2. Find **MGE Wholesale**
3. Click **Activate**
4. Enter your credentials:

| Field | Description |
|-------|-------------|
| **FTP Username** | Username for `ftp.mgegroup.com` |
| **FTP Password** | Password for the MGE FTP account |
| **Dealer Number** | Dealer ID assigned by MGE (used on the order-request filename) |
| **Dealer Name** | Dealer name assigned by MGE |

5. Click **Activate Plugin**
6. Open **Plugins > MGE Wholesale** and fill in the **FFL details** card (your store's FFL, not a customer's transfer dealer)

FTP credentials are verified when you activate; if the connection fails the plugin will not activate.

Once activated, an initial catalog sync starts automatically and an **MGE Wholesale** item appears in the sidebar under **Plugins**.

---

## Importing Products

MGE supplies **no product images** — add your own after import. Every item carries the Warehouse badge because MGE only ships to you.

Catalog sync runs on your plan's schedule (hourly at most): a full catalog rebuild when MGE publishes a new items feed (nightly), otherwise a price/quantity refresh.

---

## Fulfillment

MGE does not dropship. Every MGE fulfillment is a warehouse receipt:

1. Process the fulfillment. FirearmCart uploads an order-request CSV to MGE.
2. The fulfillment stays **Processing** with a timeline note that it is awaiting acknowledgement.
3. When MGE accepts the file, the ticket number is recorded on the fulfillment.
4. If MGE rejects it, the fulfillment errors with their reason. Use **Reship** to submit again.
5. When the shipment arrives at your store, add your own tracking (UPS / ShipStation / Stamps.com / manual Add Tracking) for the customer leg.

### Shipping terms (MGE to you)

- UPS or FedEx
- Free shipping to the lower 48 on handgun orders over $2,000, long gun and accessory orders over $1,250, and ammunition orders over $2,000
- Flat $20 otherwise

---

## Troubleshooting

| Problem | What to check |
|---------|----------------|
| Activation fails | FTP username and password. Passive-mode transfers behind NAT may need `MGE_FTP_IGNORE_PASSIVE_ADDRESS`. |
| "Set your warehouse address" | Fill store address, city, state, and ZIP under **Settings → General**. |
| "Add your FFL details" | Save the FFL card on **Plugins → MGE Wholesale** before ordering firearms. |
| Fulfillment stays awaiting acknowledgement | Acknowledgements are not instant. Check the fulfillment timeline. After 48 hours FirearmCart sends a reminder if MGE still has not responded. |
| Order rejected | The rejection reason is on the fulfillment timeline. Fix the issue and **Reship**. |
