# RSR Group

# RSR Group Integration

Connect your FirearmCart store with RSR Group for product import and dropship fulfillment.

## Prerequisites

Before connecting, you need:

- Active RSR dealer account
- Valid FFL license
- DirectConnect API access enabled on your account
- Your DirectConnect username, password and POS number
- **A separate FTP login**, issued by RSR independently of your API account — this is what pulls product images from RSR's image server

## Setting Up

1. Navigate to **Plugins > Marketplace**
2. Find **RSR Group**
3. Click **Activate**
4. Enter your credentials:

| Field | Description |
|-------|-------------|
| **Username** | DirectConnect API username |
| **Password** | DirectConnect API password |
| **POS** | Your RSR POS number |
| **FTP Username** | Username for RSR's image FTP server |
| **FTP Password** | Password for RSR's image FTP server |

5. Click **Activate Plugin**

Your DirectConnect credentials are verified when you activate; if they are rejected the plugin will not activate. All five fields are required — RSR issues the FTP login separately from the API account, and without it product images cannot be retrieved.

Once activated, an initial catalog sync starts automatically and an **RSR Group** item appears in the sidebar under **Plugins**.

## Importing Products

1. Go to **Plugins > RSR Group**
2. Search the catalog, or narrow it with the **All Manufacturers** and **All Categories** filters
3. Use **Filters** to hide out-of-stock, allocated or already-imported products, or to set a cost range
4. Select the products you want, then click **Import**
5. Set your **Markup %** and confirm

Imported products are added to your catalog as **drafts**, so you can review them before they go live.

### Product Information

Imported products include:

- Name and description
- Stock number and UPC
- Pricing (dealer cost, MAP, MSRP)
- Stock quantity, plus an allocated indicator
- Weight and dimensions
- Product images, the full gallery (retrieved from RSR's FTP image server)
- Specifications and attributes

RSR's catalog feed carries no image URLs, so images are fetched from the FTP server by a separate background pass that runs after the products themselves import. Products appear first and their images fill in shortly afterwards; a slow or failed image pass never blocks or fails the product import. Each product you import gets its main image first, and the rest of its RSR gallery is added in the background right after.

## Inventory Sync

Stock levels automatically sync from RSR:

- The catalog and stock sync runs on a schedule; how often it re-syncs depends on your plan's sync interval
- Allocated items are flagged so you can tell them apart from freely available stock
- To sync on demand, open the **Sync info** (ⓘ) menu next to the search box and choose **Resync now**
- The same menu shows the last sync time and progress while a sync is running

## Dropship Fulfillment

For products fulfilled by RSR:

1. Customer places order
2. FirearmCart submits the order to RSR
3. RSR ships to the customer's FFL
4. Tracking syncs back to FirearmCart, checked every 30 minutes
5. Customer receives shipping notification

> **Note:** By default, orders are **not** transmitted automatically — FirearmCart creates a pending fulfillment and notifies you, and the order is sent when you process that fulfillment from the order page. Automatic submission on order placement is opt-in through your fulfillment settings.

## Troubleshooting

### Connection Issues

- Verify your username and password
- Check your POS number
- Confirm DirectConnect API access is enabled on your RSR account

### Missing Images

- Confirm your FTP username and password are correct — these are separate from your API credentials
- Images arrive after the product import completes, so allow the background image pass to finish

### Import Issues

- Check product availability
- Verify department access
- Try importing fewer products at once
