New features, improvements, and fixes to FirearmCart.

Credit card surcharge

PaymentsCheckout

Stores can add a credit card surcharge on a card gateway under Settings → Payments. The rate is one percentage, at most 3%, and it applies to credit cards only. Debit, prepaid, and unrecognized cards are not surcharged, and Sezzle and Credova never are. Billing addresses in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, and Puerto Rico, where state law bans surcharges, are never surcharged either.

Fortis accounts do not take a rate typed into FirearmCart. Save the gateway or click Test connection and FirearmCart copies the surcharge Fortis has configured. The fee is shown on checkout and on receipts, it is not taxed, and refunds return a proportional share of it.

Register with your processor before you turn a surcharge on. See Payment Providers.

Zanders catalog and dropship

IntegrationsFulfillment

Zanders is now a full firearms distributor in FirearmCart — catalog, manage page, and automatic fulfillment.

Activate it from Plugins > Marketplace with four logins (main, accessory, and firearm Direct Ship API accounts, plus an FTP login for the catalog). The catalog syncs hourly with dealer cost on every pass. Accessories ship to the customer; firearms ship to their FFL; items Zanders will not direct-ship to a state (for example California) reroute to ship-to-store.

See Zanders.

Supplier cost-change policy

ProductsFulfillment

A new Supplier Cost Changes setting under Settings → Fulfillment decides what a distributor sync does to a product’s price when the supplier’s cost changes.

  • Follow my markup (the default, and what every store did before) recalculates the price from your markup whenever the cost moves, up or down.
  • Only raise prices recalculates only when the new cost would raise the price. When a distributor runs a promotion or lowers a dealer price, your price stays put and the difference is extra margin — and the price moves again once the cost climbs back past the level it was priced at.
  • Never change prices leaves prices alone entirely; cost, stock and compare-at prices still refresh.

The per-product Auto-update price on cost change switch still works as a hard off, and a price you typed in by hand is never touched by a sync under any policy. See Fulfillment settings.

Customer webhooks

IntegrationsAPI

Two new webhook events, Customer Created and Customer Updated, available to every store with API & Webhooks access under Settings → Webhooks.

Customer Created fires wherever the record comes from — a checkout, a newsletter or account signup, a lead posted to the API, an imported marketplace order, or the Customers page — so a CRM or mailing list sees a new shopper once, the moment the record exists.

Customer Updated fires when a customer’s name, email, phone, marketing consent, tags, assigned FFL or tax fields change. Background writes such as the shopper’s IP address are ignored, so placing an order does not fire it on its own, and the new Customer Updated Fields value names the fields that changed.

Five parameters come with them: Customer Accepts Marketing, Customer Tags, Customer Created Date, Customer Updated Date and Customer Updated Fields. See Webhooks.

Out-of-stock products last

Themes

Theme settings has a new Collection Pages panel with one option, off by default: Show out-of-stock products last. Turn it on and sold-out products drop to the end of every collection page, including /collections/all, in every sort order and with any filters applied. In-stock products keep the chosen order among themselves. The search page is not affected. See Collection Pages.

Smarter collection filters

ThemesAPI

Two changes to the filters on collection pages.

Product type stays selected. A menu link that opens one product type, such as Suppressors, now shows a ticked Product type filter. Adding a caliber or any other filter keeps it, so choosing 9mm narrows the suppressors instead of switching to every 9mm product in the store. Ticking a second type widens the results to either type. See Filters on collection pages.

AI clients can curate your filters. With nothing selected in the theme’s Collection Filters setting, every specification in your catalog becomes a filter, which on a distributor catalog can mean hundreds of dropdowns. Two new Theme Dev MCP tools let an AI client do the choosing. list-collection-filters shows every specification group with how many products carry it, its most common values and the product types it applies to. set-collection-filters saves the chosen groups to the theme, rejecting any name your catalog does not have. See Tools.

Printify print-on-demand

Integrations

Printify is now available in the Plugin Marketplace.

Connect a Personal Access Token, pick the shop to sync, and import the products you have already published in Printify. FirearmCart brings them in as multi-variant listings (size, color, and so on), submits fulfillments to your shop when you process the order, and writes tracking back as Printify ships.

Printify is general merchandise only — it does not handle firearms, ammunition, or FFL transfers. See Printify for setup, pricing, hold production, and troubleshooting.
