Blog Categories
Blogs act as categories to organize your blog posts by topic.

Overview
Blogs are simple containers for organizing your articles:
- Each article belongs to one blog
- Blogs are created inline when adding articles
- A default "News" blog is created automatically
- Blogs have a title and URL handle
Creating a Blog
Blogs are created directly from the article editor:
- Navigate to Content > Blog posts
- Click Add blog post
- In the Blog dropdown, type a new blog name
- Click Create
- The new blog is created and selected

Blog Details
Title
The display name of your blog shown to customers.
Examples:
- "News & Updates"
- "Product Guides"
- "Industry Insights"
Handle
The URL-friendly name used in your blog's web address.
- Automatically generated from the title
- Must be unique within your store
- Uses lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens
Example: A title "News & Updates" becomes handle news-updates
Your blog URL will be: yourstore.com/blogs/news-updates
Default Blog
When you create your first article without any blogs:
- A "News" blog is automatically created
- This blog is pre-selected for your article
- You can create additional blogs as needed
Blog Visibility
Blogs with published articles are visible on your store. The blog listing page shows all published articles within that blog.
SEO Information
Blog SEO information is automatically generated:
| Field | Auto-Generated Value |
|---|---|
| Meta Title | Blog title |
| Page Title | Blog title + Store name |
| Meta Description | Store description |
This keeps blogs simple while ensuring proper SEO.
Best Practices
- Choose clear titles - Use descriptive names that tell customers what content to expect
- Keep handles short - Shorter URLs are easier to share and remember
- Plan your structure - Consider creating separate blogs for different content types (news, guides, announcements)
- Start simple - Begin with one or two blogs and add more as your content grows
