Sports South Integration

Connect your FirearmCart store with Sports South for product import, dropship fulfillment, and warehouse restock orders.

Prerequisites

Before connecting, you need:

  • Active Sports South dealer account
  • Valid FFL license
  • Your Sports South username and password — the same credentials you use to log in at theshootingwarehouse.com
  • For firearm drop-shipping: enrollment in Sports South’s Firearm Fulfillment program (arranged through help.desk@sportssouth.biz)

No IP whitelisting is required.

Setting Up

  1. Navigate to Plugins > Marketplace
  2. Find Sports South
  3. Click Activate
  4. Enter your credentials:

  1. Click Activate Plugin

Credentials are verified as part of activating. Once activated, an initial catalog sync starts automatically and a Sports South item appears in the sidebar under Plugins.

Settings

On the Plugins > Sports South page you can set:

Setting Description
Ship Via Preferred shipping service for Sports South orders: Ground Economy (default), Ground Premium, 2-Day Air, or Next-Day Air. Faster services and firearm shipments can carry additional Sports South fees.
Enable drop-shipping Leave on if your account is enrolled in Sports South fulfillment. Turn off to route every Sports South item as a warehouse restock order instead.

Importing Products

  1. Go to Plugins > Sports South
  2. Search the catalog, or narrow it with the All Manufacturers and All Categories filters
  3. Use Filters to hide out-of-stock or already-imported products, set a cost range, or include non-dropshippable items
  4. Select the products you want, then click Import
  5. Set your Markup % and confirm

Imported products are added to your catalog as drafts, so you can review them before they go live.

Note: Sports South requires firearms fulfilled through their drop-ship program to be sold at a minimum 10% markup over your cost. Keep this in mind when setting your pricing.

Inventory Sync

Stock levels and dealer cost sync automatically from Sports South:

  • The catalog and stock sync runs on a schedule; how often it re-syncs depends on your plan’s sync interval
  • Out-of-stock products update automatically
  • To sync on demand, open the Sync info (ⓘ) menu next to the search box and choose Resync now
  • The same menu shows the last sync time and progress while a sync is running

Dropship Fulfillment

Accessories

  1. Customer places order
  2. FirearmCart submits the order to Sports South
  3. Sports South ships to the customer’s address
  4. Tracking syncs back to FirearmCart
  5. Customer receives shipping notification

Firearms

Firearms follow Sports South’s Firearm Fulfillment procedure:

  1. Customer places order and selects a transfer FFL at checkout
  2. Before submitting, FirearmCart checks that the FFL participates in firearm transfers with Sports South
  3. Sports South ships to the FFL dealer’s premises address — never to a residence
  4. Tracking syncs back and the customer completes the transfer at their FFL

A few rules that come from Sports South:

  • If the chosen FFL is not on file with Sports South, the order is not submitted. The fulfillment is flagged so you can resolve it — email a copy of the receiving FFL’s license to help.desk@sportssouth.biz or your Sports South representative, then retry the fulfillment.
  • Firearms and non-firearm items are always submitted as separate Sports South orders; FirearmCart handles the split automatically.
  • An order may contain multiple firearms only when they all transfer through the same FFL.

Note: By default, orders are not transmitted automatically — FirearmCart creates a pending fulfillment and notifies you, and the order is sent when you process that fulfillment from the order page. Automatic submission on order placement is opt-in through your fulfillment settings.

Warehouse Restock

Items Sports South won’t drop-ship (or all items, if you disable drop-shipping) are submitted as restock orders shipped to your Sports South account address on file. You then ship to the customer with your own shipping plugins or the manual Add Tracking option on the order.

Tracking

Sports South updates tracking hourly; FirearmCart polls for tracking on open orders every 30 minutes. When a shipment splits into multiple packages, each tracking number is recorded on the fulfillment.

Troubleshooting

Connection Issues

  • Verify your username and password — the same login you use at theshootingwarehouse.com
  • Check that your Sports South account is active
  • If credentials were rejected during a sync, syncing pauses until you re-save working credentials on the plugin

Firearm Order Issues

  • “FFL is not on file” — the transfer dealer isn’t set up with Sports South. Email the FFL’s license to help.desk@sportssouth.biz, then retry the fulfillment
  • Firearm without an FFL — a firearm line can’t ship without a transfer FFL on the order; assign one and retry
  • Firearm drop-ship requires your account to be enrolled in Sports South’s Firearm Fulfillment program

Import Issues

  • Check if products are in stock
  • Non-dropshippable products are hidden by default — use the Include non-dropshippable filter to see them
  • Try importing fewer products at once
